IMHO Sunday: Partying over a major linemen recruiting hurdle?

In my humble opinion, cardinal and gold thoughts on what I see, what I hear, and what I think from Los Angeles: The hurdle: It isn’t exactly a state secret that even during the dark times of late, the USC Trojans have been able to recruit elite skill players, specifically quarterbacks and wide receivers. However, we all know what the big elephants in the room have been or should we say lack of them. Nevertheless, after Lincoln Riley's mega recruiting Lollapalooza this weekend, which included many of Troy's major targeted linemen on both sides of the ball, it appears that this dearth of linemen signatures may be about to change. Put it this way: Riley, his staff, and the recruiting arm of the USC football program pulled out all the stops. The hurdle - Part -2: USC football and Lincoln Riley left no stone or should we say no buffet menu unturned, and what you couldn't finish eating was probably superseded by a dreamlike Southern California beach sunset. To review: Throw in a lavish and high energy Friday night luau worthy of an Hawaiian Island feast at the coach's palatial residence in the Palos Verdes Estates, a Saturday beach party on the legendary sands of SoCal and a later nighttime visit over to the Coliseum, and the only things missing were Beach Boy music and several other scintillating events that included some of Troy's best known current and former NFL and college stars, and it probably left these national recruits and their families saying that nothing could top this weekend. Take that Norman, Columbus, South Bend, Athens, and, yes, Tuscaloosa!
