The Weakender: As the field for potential USC coaching candidates continues to swirl with hearsay, the jubilant events in the Midwest (AKA The Notre Dame Weekender) went from predictable Chicago fun and folly to predictable South Bend dominance, as No. 13 Notre Dame (6-1) once again shook down the Northern Indiana thunder on the USC Trojans (3-4. 2-3 Pac-12S), 31-16, on a chilly Saturday night in historic Notre Dame Stadium. The Weakender – Part 2: So concludes yet another celebrated Notre Dame Weekender that once again resurrects the age old analogy: Other than the assassination, Mrs. Lincoln, how’d you enjoy the play?
