In Tuesday’s special edition of “Inside the Trojans’ Huddle”, panelists Marc Kulkin, Chris Arledge, Erik McKinney, and Greg Katz review in depth last Saturday’s USC spring game, analyzing each offensive and defensive position groups and critiquing the spring game attendance and fan atmosphere in the Coliseum.

Before getting into the spring game review, the panel analyzes the Coliseum attendance. Did the numbers meet expectations. Was the attendance underwhelming given the tremendous expectations? The panel gives a very objective analysis of the numbers and the atmosphere on Saturday.

The first half of the Huddle breaks down each offensive position group. The panel answers the questions for each group: Did panel find each group’s performances in the spring game go beyond expectations, status quo, or did live up to expectations. Going deeper for each position group, the panel asked which player(s) for each position group were impressive and why.

Halftime centers around a question of what to do and where should the Trojans’ eight Heisman Trophy be placed in the Peristyle end of the Coliseum. It was announced on the Pac-12 coverage of the spring game that Caleb Williams home jersey will join the other Heisman winners in the fall. The panel gives their perspective on how to decorate and salute the Heisman recipients.

The second half of the Huddle goes over the defense by position groups, and the same questions and criteria are applied to each group. Where are the improvements to a defense had really suffered in the later portions of the 2022 season and probably cost the Trojans a conference title and an invitation to the CFP post-season.

Note: Due to the depth and length of this special spring game review, Overtime will resume next Tuesday and viewers that had questions submitted will hear the panel’s response to those questions at that time.
