In Tuesday’s edition of “Inside the Trojans’ Huddle”, panelists Marc Kulkin, Chris Arledge, Erik McKinney, and Greg Katz discuss “The Bear”, transfers and commitments, NFL draft predictions, NCAA rule changes, memories of Kevin, and viewers’ questions and panel answers.

Before getting into the bulk of the show, the panel gives their heartfelt memories regarding the passing of USC linebacker great and WeAreSC columnist Kevin Bruce. Each panel member talks about how they met Kevin, and how he was the ultimate USC football competitor, both as a player and a media analyst.

The first half of the Huddle speaks to the impact of transfer D-lineman Bear Alexander, and his potential to change the look along the USC defensive front. The panel then transitions to the news that expected offensive guard transfer Ethan White will not be coming to Troy and the effect of this event. What does that mean for 2023? Then there is the Trojans running back room that could feature a whole position group made up of native Texans. Is California not producing the running backs it once did?

Halftime centers around three new NCAA football rules for the 2023 season. The changes have to do with the clock and first downs, new timeout changes, and penalties at the end of the quarter. There is some healthy debate on whether the new clock rule helps the Trojans high-scoring offense and does this new rule hurt opponent’s chances of using ball control to spring an upset over the Men of Troy?

The second half of the Huddle focuses on this week’s NFL and draftable Trojans. The panel does its NFL draft predictions for specific Trojans and what round they will be selected. How high will the likes of WR Jordan Addison and DL Tuli Tuipulotu go? First round? Second round? What about OG Andrew Vorhees and CB Mekhi Blackmon? Will RB Travis Dye get selected, and what about C Brett Neilon?

In Overtime, the panel answers some viewers’ questions, which include topics like Miller Moss, personnel grouping numbers, non-conference game replacements, future spring game changes, will the Trojans play Oregon when USC heads to the Big Ten, and much more.
