The Obvious: Having dodged a major bullet last weekend at Oregon State, the No. 6 USC Trojans (4-0, Pac-12 2-0) host an Arizona State Sun Devils team (1-3. Pac-12 0-2) and program on Saturday evening in the Coliseum (7:30 p.m. PT) that has seen better days and in some ways mirrors what happened to the Men of Troy last season when it fired he-who-shalt-not-be-named early in the season. The Not So Obvious: Almost forgotten from last week’s winning game at Oregon State, the Trojans recorded their fourth victory, which equaled its win total from 2021 or have you already forgotten last season's 4-8 record? So, if the cardinal and gold can dispense of ASU, they will break through in victories at 5-0 compared to last season. The last time the Trojans were 5-0 in a regular season was during the Covid season of 2020 when they played its abbreviated regular schedule: three times in front of nobody in the Coliseum and three times in front of nobody on the road.
