O/NSO: The return of Salute to Troy edition

The Obvious: As the external USC hate-of-meter continues to rise in concert with each passing incoming Trojans transfer announcement, there are certain positive internal barometers being checked off, thanks to head coach Lincoln Riley’s relentless drive to return the storied USC Trojans back to the royalty table of college football’s hierarchy.  The Not So Obvious: One of those those USC football internal barometers or benchmarks indicating a seismic attitude change and positive harbinger of things yet to come was this week’s public announcement by Trojans' athletic director Mike Bohn’s that for the first time since 2018, there would be the return of the once popular Salute to Troy on Saturday evening, June 18, on Cromwell Field.
