The USC Trojans are through Day 14 of 2025 spring ball and WeAreSC has some tidbits from viewing the open portion of practice and hearing from head coach Lincoln Riley and players.

* Riley discussed the play and development of senior linebacker Eric Gentry this spring. He called Gentry “consistent, vocal, energetic” this spring. Riley talks a lot about great players having high floors, that their bad plays don’t kill you. He said the consistency from Gentry this spring has been rising. Riley said Gentry is “healthy, confident” and “in the best place he’s ever been in his time here at USC.”

* Riley praised the freshmen defensive linemen for how they’ve played this spring. He said Floyd Boucard has been explosive and caught onto the system quickly. Jahkeem Stewart has “improved quickly,” according to Riley. Defensive end Kameryn Fountain said Stewart has impressed him in his ability to come in and work well at two different positions on the defensive line. Riley said Cash Jacobsen has come on in the past week as he continues to adjust to the physicality needed to play along the line of scrimmage at this level.

* Riley reiterated that Tobias Raymond and Justin Tauanuu at right tackle give them two options they can “win with right now.”

* As usual, some big-name recruits in attendance at a USC spring practice. Four-star defensive end Nolan Wilson, four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis, five-star 2027 offensive tackle Kennedy Brown, four-star wide receiver Luc Weaver and Class of 2026 USC defensive tackle commit TomTom Topui were among the visitors.
