Following a tough win in Corvallis over the Oregon State Beavers, the USC Trojans and quarterback Caleb Williams remain among the betting favorites for both the national championship and Heisman Trophy, according to BetOnline.

USC’s odds to win the national championship fell this week to 16/1. The Trojans were at 12/1 last week, coming off the big win against Fresno State. But USC jumped Clemson into fourth place in terms of the shortest odds. Georgia still leads there, at 19/10. The Bulldogs began the saeson at 19/4 and were at 7/4 two weeks ago.

Alabama and Ohio State are the teams between Georgia and USC.

Coming up on USC’s schedule later this season, Utah is at 50/1 and UCLA is at 200/1. Among Pac-12 programs, Oregon is at 100/1, which is where the Ducks began the season. And Washington has moved all the way from 250/1 down to 80/1.

Caleb Williams Still Getting Heisman Hype

USC quarterback Caleb Williams didn’t have his best game against Oregon State, but the Trojans’ leader remains with the second-best odds to win the Heisman Trophy. Williams is listed at 6/1. Both his and Alabama quarterback Bryce Young’s odds fell this weekend. Young is now 13/2.

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is leading the pack at 13/10 odds.

USC wide receiver Jordan Addison and running back Travis Dye are both listed. Addison saw his odds shorten all the way to 40/1 following the game against Stanford. They’ve dropped each of the past two weeks and he’s at 150/1 now. Dye began the season off the board and is now listed at 150/1 as well.

Trojans Are a Big Favorite This Weekend

After watching last week’s opening line get more than cut in half before USC kicked off against Oregon State, the Trojans are once again installed as double-digit favorites. This time it’s a huge number as a potentially dysfunctional Arizona State team comes to the Coliseum.

The Trojans are favored by 25.5 points against the Sun Devils.

Arizona State fired former head coach Herm Edwards following a loss to Eastern Michigan on Sept. 17. In their first game under interim head coach Shaun Aguano, the Sun Devils were blitzed by Utah, 34-13. The game was not in doubt at any point in the second half as Arizona State managed just 267 total yards and turned the ball over three times.

USC covered three double-digit point spreads in its first three games, but failed to hit the mark in a three-point, come-from-behind win against Oregon State.
