Following a full Saturday of college football action, the updated AP and Coaches Polls came out this morning. Let’s take a look at where USC came in in the latest rankings.

USC Holds at Number Seven in Latest AP Poll

After handling Fresno State 45-17 on Saturday night, USC held steady at number seven in the latest AP Poll.

For the third consecutive week, the Trojans are the highest-ranked team in the Pac 12. This also marks the third straight week that USC has landed inside the AP top ten.

Trojans Move Up One Spot in Coaches Poll

While the Trojans held steady in the AP Poll, they did move up one spot in the latest Coaches Poll. The Trojans are now ranked seventh in both polls.

USC jumped ahead of Oklahoma State who was one spot ahead of them in the Coaches Poll last week. The Cowboys dropped in the rankings despite defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 63-7.

Looking Forward

As of now, Utah (number 13 in the AP and number 14 in the Coaches Poll) remains the only ranked opponent on USC’s 2022 schedule. Two of the Trojans’ next three opponents—Oregon State and Washington State—received votes in both polls.
