USC has extended out a new offer in the state of Texas in the 2024 class, this time to an emerging defensive lineman. Cypress (Tex.) Bridgeland defensive lineman Omar Khan reported his USC offer this morning.

Khan is the No. 1195 overall prospect and No. 116 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 147 player in Texas.

Khan has seen his recruitment rise in recent weeks. In the month of May alone, Khan has earned offers from UNLV, Tulsa, Kansas, Maryland, Arizona, Wyoming, SMU, Boise State, Arizona State, Memphis, and Utah.

To this point, Khan has only taken unofficial visits to Oklahoma and Washington. He has not yet taken any official visits.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine

The 6-foot-2, 275-pound defensive lineman holds 20 total offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Washington currently holds the lead to land a commitment from Khan at 62.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

On3 NIL Valuation

Khan has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.2. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time

USC’s 2024 Recruiting Class

To date, the three commitments in the 2024 class are Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge four-star tight end Joey Olsen, and McKinney (Tex.) three-star running back Bryan Jackson

Also, as of right now, there are 20 prospects in the class of 2024 who are currently favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with USC. A good portion of them visited USC this spring and/or are planning official visits in the summer.

The Trojans are currently set to host 32 official visitors in the month of June, primarily scheduled for two major visit weekends. The staff will hope for similar success as last cycle when they landed more than 10 of their June official visitors.

USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.
