USC Trojans wide receiver DJ Jordan plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens in early January, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Jordan was a four-star recruit and the nation’s No. 98 overall prospect in the 2024 Industry Ranking. Jordan did not play as a true freshman in 2024 and played sparingly as a redshirt freshman this year.

Jordan caught five passes for 38 yards in USC’s first three home games of the season against Missouri State, Georgia Southern and Michigan State. He also took snaps against Purdue and late in the year against Northwestern, but had just those five appearances. His one reception against Michigan State went for seven yards and ended in a lost fumble. Jordan didn’t have a reception or offensive touch the rest of the year.

True freshman receiver Tanook Hines became the Trojans’ No. 3 option this season behind standouts Makai Lemon and J’Kobi Lane. With Lane and Lemon likely to enter the 2026 NFL draft, USC will need to find replacements but the Trojans brought in two transfer portal receivers last year, signed two receivers in addition to Hines and are likely bringing in six receivers in the 2026 signing class on Wednesday.

The 2025-26 NCAA transfer portal will open on January 2 and run for 10 days. Players will have that window to enter their names into the portal, though they are not limited by that timeline as to when they need to make a decision on their next school.
