Braylan Shelby Commits
USC picked up a huge commitment yesterday from four-star edge rusher Braylan Shelby.
A native of Friendswood, Texas, On3 Consensus ranks Shelby as the number 138 overall player and the number 19 edge rusher in the class of 2023. He chose the Trojans over hometown school Texas.
Ed Stewart Hired
On Friday, USC announced a major addition to its athletic department in Ed Stewart. For the past sixteen years, Stewart has worked as a high-level official with the Big 12 Conference.
Stewart will serve as USC’s Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Football Administration. Along with new General Manager/Senior Associate Athletic Director for Football Dave Emerick, Stewart will help to fill the massive hole left by the departure of Chief of Staff Brandon Sosna for the Detroit Lions
Elijah Brown Re-Offered
Back in the fall, four-star class of 2024 QB Elijah Brown received an offer from USC interim head coach Donte Williams. But upon Lincoln Riley taking over the program in late November, Brown had not heard much from USC.
However, that changed on Friday, when Riley officially re-offered Brown.
According to On3 Consensus, the Mater Dei product is the number 75 player and the number nine quarterback in the class of 2024. Although it is still early, right now, Oregon appears to be the leader in his recruitment.
