WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at a huge name being on campus for a visit, USC making the top five for a west coast offensive lineman, and Lincoln Riley representing USC at the Dodgers game.

Huge name on campus

On Friday, USC hosted transfer mega-target Jordan Addison on campus for an official visit.

After posting a monster 2021 season at Pitt in which he won the Biletnikoff Award, the star wide receiver elected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal just prior to the May 1 deadline. In addition to USC, Texas and Alabama are both strong contenders to land Addison. The All-American visited the Longhorns earlier this week, with Alabama expected to receive a visit sometime next week.

Top five

Three star class of 2023 offensive lineman Landen Hatchett announced his top five schools on Friday, and USC made the cut. Coming out of Ferndale, Washington, On3 Consensus ranks Hatchett as the number 881 player and the number 88 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2023 The Trojans offered Hatchett a scholarship during his official visit to USC last month.

In addition to USC, Hatchett’s top five includes, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, and Texas A&M. Currently, On3 projects the Ducks as heavy favorites to land the Pacific Northwest product.

Play ball

Friday night also marked USC night at the Dodgers game. Throwing out the first pitch? None other than Lincoln Riley himself.

In addition, USC athletic director Mike Bohn accompanied Riley on the field before the game.

Ironically enough, the Dodgers’ Triple A affiliate is located in none other than Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sometimes, the jokes just write themselves.
