UCF lands former Florida, Clemson running back Demarkcus Bowman

Gus Malzahn has added another talented piece to an already strong running back room at UCF.

Florida transfer Demarkcus Bowman, who entered the transfer portal last week, committed to the Knights Monday.

On3 had previously reported that UCF had emerged as a potential landing spot for Bowman.

Bowman, who began his college career at Clemson before transferring to Florida, was rated as the third-best running back and 23rd-best overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting class according to the On3 Consensus Rankings.

The Lakeland, Fla. native ran for 81 yards on 14 carries for Florida last season.
