Former Missouri Tigers corner Zxaequan’ Snoop’ Reeves has announced that he will transfer to Coastal Carolina. Reeves announced his plans to enter the transfer portal back in late March. Now the product of Cocoa, FL, will head back to the East Coast to suit up for the Chanticleers.

Reeves, a 6-foot-1, 201-pound corner chose Missouri in the summer before his senior season at Cocoa High School. He was a three-star prospect, according to the On3 Consensus. Mizzou was his only SEC offer coming out of high school. Still, he had other Power Five offers from Washington State and Virginia. Home state schools like Florida Atlantic and Florida A&M also offered.

Coastal Carolina is coming off of one of the best seasons in recent program history. The Chanticleers finished the 2021 regular season with a 10-2 record, with both losses coming in conference play. Coastal Carolina finished off their season with a victory over Northern Illinois in the Tailgeeter Cure Bowl 47-41. Coastal Carolina had an offensive explosion last year, averaging 40.9 points per game, and were an impressive 10-of-13 on 4th downs for the season. However, their defense had spots of inconsistency, namely in the turnover category. On the year, the Chanticleers only forced 13 turnovers, six of which were interceptions.

Missouri lineman Jonathan Jones no longer with program

According to Power MizzouMissouri redshirt freshman defensive end Jonathan Jones is no longer with the program. Going through spring practice with the Tigers, Jones would have been entering his second season with the program. Instead, he will not be playing for head coach Elias Drinkwitz moving forward.

Power Mizzou is also reporting that Missouri is down to 84 scholarship players on their roster.

Jones was ranked a three-star prospect coming out of high school by the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting services. He hailed out of McKinney, TX, and was a top 150 player within the Lone Star State. Classified as an edge, Jones came in at No. 92 at the position.

Programs such as BaylorTexasNebraska, and Virginia Tech extended offers out to Jones before Missouri ended up being the selection.
