Tennessee lands commitment from former Clemson, West Virginia running back Lyn-J Dixon

Tennessee is adding another piece to its running back group.

Former Clemson and West Virginia running back Lyn-J Dixon has committed to the Vols, he announced Wednesday on Instagram.

Dixon, who left Clemson last September, transferred to West Virginia earlier this year but re-entered the NCAA transfer portal in June.

He ran for 1,420 yards in four seasons at Clemson, including 635 yards in 2019.

Adding another running back became of interest to Tennessee after the Vols lost sophomore Len’Neth Whitehead to a season-ending injury. Whitehead, a Class of 2021 four-star recruit, ran for 207 yards last season.
