Report: Top transfer Isiaih Mosley withdraws name from NBA Draft

Missouri State superstar transfer and On3’s No. 1 player in college basketball’s transfer portal Isiaih Mosley has officially withdrawn his name from the 2022 NBA Draft, according to reports.

Widely considered one of, if not the best scorer in college basketball today, Mosley’s portal recruitment has been tied to programs such as Mississippi State, Kansas and Texas Tech since entering the portal last month.

Kansas went and signed the No. 8 transfer in wing Kevin McCullar, and Texas Tech reportedly passed on Mosley’s services. Instead, Mosley took a visit to Mississippi State earlier this month and seem poised to land his services, though his recruitment is still wide open.

Mosley was one of only three DI players in the previous 20 years to shoot 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three, and 90 percent from the free-throw line while averaging 20 points per game. While at Missouri State, he was first-team All-Missouri Valley (MVC) each of the last two seasons. He led the MVC in scoring both years. He also finished top-ten in the conference in rebounds and steals per game.

One could argue that the Missouri State junior was the best scorer in college basketball. Certainly, the numbers would back him in any discussion that includes both volume and efficiency.

Coming out of Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge High, Isiaih Mosley had offers from Tulsa, Bradley, Mississippi State, and Southeast Missouri, among others. Still, he chose to stay close to home and attend Missouri State.
