Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie three-star interior offensive lineman Sandman Thompson has decommitted from Oregon, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Thompson initially pledged to the Ducks in May 2023.

He holds over 25 offers, including from programs such as Miami, Florida State, Tennessee and Penn State.

Oregon fresh off of major recruiting weekend

A number of elite targets made their way out to Eugene this weekend for Oregon’s spring game. Vistors included elite tight end Linkon Cure, No. 1 corner DJ Pickett, Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, four-star receiver Marcus Harris and 2026 No. 1 recruit Jahkeem Stewart.

“The environment was amazing and I loved every bit of my time there,” Cure said. He is the No. 2 prospect in the country at his position and On3 Industry’s No. 34 prospect overall.

“You can really feel the culture of the program!” he continued. He has official visits to Oregon and Kansas State set for June. “Everything excites me about the Ducks!

“I absolutely love it!”
