Cameron Brink was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. But when it comes to New Balance, she was the sneaker company’s top pick after becoming the first women’s basketball player to sign a sneaker deal with the brand.

Brink recently joined forces with another LA pro athlete as a guest on Podcast P with Paul George. Sharing her story with Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George and hosts Jackie Long and Dallas Rutherford, which included her experience signing with New Balance.

One of the highlights of her New Balance experience was shooting a commercial alongside NBA stars like Jamal Murray, Tyrese Maxey, and Dejounte Murray. But Brink made it clear that her favorite part of the shoot was her moments with George’s teammate Kawhi Leonard, detailing her interaction in hilarious fashion which can be seen below.

“The funniest part though was Kawhi,” Brink said. “And he is funny as s—.”

George agreed with Brink, saying that his teammate’s sense of humor is a side of him that people don’t know about. With Leonard being regarded as one of the more quiet and low key NBA superstars in recent history.

Making The Klaw laugh is easier said than done, but something that Brink apparently unlocked in her moments with the two-time NBA Finals MVP.

“No he’s funny, and all the New Balance guys like our head marketing guy was like we haven’t seen anybody make him laugh more than you,” Brink said. “So I was like give me my flowers Kawhi, if you’re watching this. I made you laugh.”

“I don’t even remember what he was saying, but he was doing like the, ‘uh-huh-huh,'” Brink said mimicking the star’s viral, signature laugh.

When healthy and available, Leonards play has spoken for itself during his NBA career. And off the floor, his reserved personality and unique sense of humor has provided numerous hilarious moments across his 12-year NBA career. A personality that Brink compared to another Hollywood star.

“He’s so funny, he’s like the male version of Aubrey Plaza. Just like blunt, dry humor. And he kept saying, he was like, ‘When is this gonna be over?’ He was like, ‘When do we get to go home, are we done yet?'” Brink said continuing to mimic Leonard’s voice and quoting him nearly at the same exact time as George.

Hopefully Brink and Leonard can collaborate again with them both now residing in Los Angeles and Leonard knowing who he can turn to if her even needs a good laugh.
