Winslow (NJ) High On3 Industry four-star athlete Cameron Miller announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Wednesday.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Miller chose to play for head coach Luke Fickell and the Badgers of his other opportunities from the likes of Kentucky, Michigan, Syracuse and Rutgers.

Miller will play receiver in Madison.

“Everything,” Miller said when asked why Wisconsin. “Got a really good feel for the guys and environment out there and just knew it was a fit.

“Some of my favorite things has to be how tight the team is and just the happy vibe you get.”

As a junior, Miller turned 59 receptions into 1,342 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also registered 39 tackles and two interceptions.

Miller becomes commit No. 11 for head coach Fickell and his staff. He looks forward to making a lot of plays like a Josh Downs did in offensive coordinator Phil Longo’s offense.

“Good dudes,” Miller said. “Got to connect with them a lot. They’re trying to build something special.”

A look at what the Badgers are getting

The On3 Industry tabs Miller as the No. 15 athlete in the country and his coach, former Penn State player Bill Belton says the Badgers are getting a special player.

“I think he’s a ball in hand type of athlete that can make a lot of things happen after the catch,” Belton said. “He’s adding a dynamic part in the return game. Did a lot of good things for us this past year.

“Also bringing a competitive kid. One with the heart to go out there and compete. That’s a lost art in today’s kids in this era. We are now everyone wants something handed to them. He’s willing to go out and earn what’s his.”

Belton said it came down to fit for Miller.

“Finding the right place you can showcase your skillset athletically, and academically finding a place you can get a meaningful education and outside of that a place you can see yourself outside of football. That all played a factor for him.”
