ESPN announces compelling lineup of College Football Week 0, Week 1 matchups with game times, dates
The college football season is still several months away, but fans can’t help but get excited about some of the matchups that will kick off the highly anticipated 2024 season. Some of which ESPN has recently released dates and times for ahead of Week 0 and Week 1.
ESPN’s networks will be featuring some of the premiere matchups across the college football landscape to start the season. Highlighted by quality matchups that will occur at exciting neutral sites, teams with College Football Playoff expectations, new head coaches, and several rosters that have been transformed by the transfer portal.

Week 0
Florida State vs. Georgia Tech — Saturday, August 24 at noon ET on ESPN
Florida A&M vs. Norfolk State — Saturday, August 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC (streaming on ESPN)
Week 1
North Dakota State at Colorado — Thursday, August 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
Temple at Oklahoma — Friday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
TCU at Stanford — Friday, August 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Clemson vs. Georgia — Saturday, August 31 at noon ET on ABC (streaming on ESPN)
Miami at Florida — Saturday, August 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC (streaming on ESPN)
Colorado State at Texas — Saturday, August 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Western Kentucky at Alabama — Saturday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
Notre Dame at Texas A&M — Saturday, August 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC (streaming on ESPN)
USC vs. LSU — Sunday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC (streaming on ESPN)
Boston College at Florida State — Monday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Florida State and Georgia Tech will represent the first Power 4 matchup of the season as they’ll square off across the pond at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. As the Seminoles will look to defend their ACC title early in the season with a new quarterback under center, former Clemson and Oregon State signal caller DJ Uiagalelei.
Clemson versus Georgia and USC versus LSU represent other marquee matchups at neutral sites to start off the season. With the Tigers and Bulldogs squaring off at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta while the Trojans and Tigers will represent the only game of the day on Sunday when they face off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Four of programs that have been some of the most successful across college football in recent history.
The stage is set for the worldwide leader in sports this upcoming college football season, as fans now sit on the edges of their seats waiting in anticipation for kickoff this fall.
