Kentucky baseball is in position to win the Southeastern Conference. After stealing two of three games in Gainesville from Florida last weekend, the No. 2-ranked Bat Cats can lock up the league’s top seed with a good showing against Vanderbilt in the final series before the postseason.

As it currently stands, Kentucky is 20-7 in the SEC, a full game ahead of both Tennessee and Arkansas. The Commodores will come to Lexington for a three-game series that runs from Thursday through Saturday. Two wins would likely give the Bat Cats the regular season crown — a sweep would leave no doubt. UK has won the SEC just once before in program history.

What should the Big Blue Nation expect from Nick Mingione’s squad in the coming days? How did Kentucky manage to win the series against Florida last weekend? KSR’s Daniel Hager and Derek Terry break it all down and more below in episode four of the Bat Cat Beat.
