It’s been known for several weeks that Lucedale (Miss.) George County class of 2025 quarterback and Notre Dame commit Deuce Knight would be in South Bend for an official visit June 14-16. But Blue & Gold can report an additional visit for the elite talent.

Knight will be in Nashville, Tenn. for the On3 Elite Series event May 28-30 and then has a trip soon afterwards to the Midwest.

Sources tell Blue & Gold that Knight will be at Notre Dame for the Irish Invasion camp June 2, which will be a unique experience for him, as he’ll be able to work out with quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and the rest of the ND staff.

This will mark Knight’s ninth time visiting Notre Dame and fourth this calendar year. His most recent trip was for the Blue-Gold Game April 20. And his official visit next month will be his 10th trip to South Bend.

Knight, who was recently invited to the Elite 11 Finals that will take place later this summer in Los Angeles, ranks as the nation’s No. 58 overall player and No. 7 quarterback per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking.

Knight played in 10 games as a junior — three with Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy and seven with Lucedale (Miss.) George County. He started off there year in the Volunteer State, where threw for 627 yards and 2 touchdowns on 57 of 108 attempts, plus 35 carries for 154 yards and 3 scores.

After transferring back to George County, Knight completed 84 of 157 passes for 1,420 yards with 15 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He added 340 rushing yards with 8 scores on 64 carries.

During his sophomore football season, Knight completed 111 of 174 passes for 1,780 yards with 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He also added 488 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 54 carries.

Knight has been committed to Notre Dame since Sept. 2023. While other programs are trying to pry the four-star recruit away from the Irish, he looks to be going strong with his ND pledge.

The Fighting Irish currently have 21 commitments. On Sunday, Notre Dame landed a pledge from  Cincinnati St. Xavier’s Gordy Sulfsted, who ranks as the No. 586 overall prospect and No. 50 defensive lineman in the country per the On3 Industry Ranking. Notre Dame still has a few spots left in the 2025 class.
