South Alabama transfer Khalil Jacobs visiting Ole Miss on Monday
South Alabama transfer Khalil Jacobs is visiting Ole Miss on Monday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
He recently rescheduled visits to Alabama and Missouri, but no hard dates have been confirmed for those two schools.
Jacobs had spent the past two seasons with the Jaguars, where he committed to new Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack when he was their head coach. While in Mobile, he appeared in 20-plus games for their defense. Now, he will be on the move elsewhere as a transfer during the spring window.
In total, Jacobs has posted 60 tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception in his career. That included a breakout sophomore season this past fall where he put up nearly all of that overall production. He had 56 of his tackles with all of his sacks, forced fumbles, and the pick in 2023.
He recently told On3’s Pete Nakos that he wants to be a part of a system that he can thrive in.
Before committing to South Alabama, Jacobs was an unranked prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Houston defensive back Isaiah Hamilton commits to Ole Miss Rebels
Isaiah Hamilton, a former Houston defensive back, decided to officially commit to Ole Miss in a social media post. He was recently considering a portal visit to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but changed his mind, according to Pete Nakos and Matt Zenitz.
In joining the Rebels, Hamilton joins a roster that is one of the most loaded in all of college football. They’re expected to be a lock to make the 2025 College Football Playoff. This is the first year the playoff format will move to 12 teams. But many have also pegged the Rebels as outside contenders to possibly bring home the National Championship.
Pete Nakos reported on Thursday night that Hamilton was working on lining up an official visit to the Rebels. He snatched four interceptions last year with Houston. As a junior, he started all 12 games for the Cougars (839 snaps). Hamilton started all 12 games at corner, racking up 50 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
