Port Neches (Texas) Neches-Groves three-star interior offensive lineman Jackson Christian has committed to the Texas Longhorns.

“After a lot of thought I am blessed to say, I am officially committing to The University of Texas,” he wrote in a statement on social media. “I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me throughout this process. Hook’em Horns.”

Christian visited Texas in April and spoke with Inside Texas.

“The atmosphere was pretty cool in there,” Christian said. “There was a lot of energy. I can see myself playing here and going here. We got to see the dorms and everything, they’re pretty nice. How (Kyle Flood) coaches is a big thing, and (Steve Sarkisian).”

Christian is the nation’s No. 495 overall prospect, No. 41 interior offensive lineman and No. 75 recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Inside Texas’ Ian Boyd wrote this about Christian’s fit at UT.

“Christian is a big imposing lineman out of Port Neches-Groves currently playing left tackle. He has good size for the perimeter at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds but a run through of his highlights makes plain he’s destined for guard. Christian gets off the ball fast and with bad intentions and has clip after clip in which he’s able to cave in the edge and advance to pick off a linebacker. He adjusts well as a puller to finding his man and making good connection on his block and overall projects as a big mauling guard with the quickness to execute multiple concepts.”
