Report: Jeremiah Crawford agrees to UDFA deal with Carolina Panthers
Former Tennessee offensive lineman Jeremiah Crawford has agreed to an undrafted free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers, per Aaron Wilson. Wilson did not provide the financial details of the contract.
Crawford spent three seasons at Tennessee, where he appeared in 30 games and made 13 starts. In the 2023 campaign, Crawford saw action on 393 offensive snaps while only allowing two sacks. He started the season at right tackle before switching to left tackle to close the season.
In 2022, Crawford was equally impressive. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound standout saw action on 424 offensive snaps and did not allow a sack in nine of his 10 games played. Crawford was a key part of an offensive line that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award for the first time in school history.
In his first season with the Volunteers, Crawford did not make any starts but still played 135 offensive snaps and did not allow a sack or commit a penalty during the regular season. Crawford’s time on the field only grew as the season progressed.
Before transferring to Tennessee, Crawford spent two seasons at Butler Community College, where he carved out a stunning reputation. He played both offensive tackle and defensive tackle for the program and was the No. 3 offensive tackle in JUCO, per On3’s Industry Rankings.
When Jeremiah Crawford declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he released a heartfelt message reflecting on his career.
“First off, I’d like to thank God and give all the praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him, none of this is possible,” Crawford wrote. “Vol Nation, I just want to say thank you for the support and love I have received while playing here. I would also like to thank my friends, coaches and teammates at Goddard, Butler and Tennessee who have been there with me along the way.
“College football has given me teammates that turned into brothers. Our friendships will lats a lifetime, and I will forever cherish all the memories,” Crawford continued. “I would like to give a special thank you to my mom. You’ve show me how to persevere through tough times and how to fight in life. You have sacrificed so much to give me the opportunities I have today. I am forever grateful. I would also like to thank the rest of my family for their love and support along the way and constant prayers.”
Now, Crawford will look to find similar success during the next stage of his career. The Carolina Panthers will welcome the help. The team allowed 65 sacks last season, the third-most in the NFL.
