Mississippi State defensive lineman Wilky Denaud has re-entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

Denaud is in the transfer portal once again after starting his career at Auburn. He spent the 2023 season with the Tigers, before transferring after last year. He did not play in a game during his time on The Plains.

Wilky Denaud then committed to Mississippi State in January. However, he is leaving the Bulldogs program without playing in a game.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound DL faced legal issues early this past season. On Sept. 1, Denaud was arrested and charged with larceny. Denaud reportedly stole a scooter valued at $650. He was released only hours after being arrested after he posted his $1,500 bond.

Wilky Denaud played high school football at Fort Pierce (FL) John Carroll, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 407 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Running back Rashad Amos flips commitment from Mississippi State to Colorado

Wilky Denaud isn’t the only player to leave the Mississippi State program recently.

Less than two weeks after Rashad Amos committed to Mississippi State, he flipped his decision to Colorado.

The running back spent 48 hours in Boulder last week before committing to Colorado. It’s a major pickup for Deion Sanders and the Buffs, who lost Dylan Edwards to the transfer portal last week. Now Amos can partner with Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden to form one of the top backfields in the Big 12.

A former South Carolina transfer, Amos played in 13 games with the Gamecocks but had a breakout year in 2023 with Miami (Ohio). He rushed for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season. The tailback ranked third in the Mid-American Conference in rushing yards and second in rushing touchdowns.

The Miami (Ohio) transfer has played in 27 career games and has previous experience in the SEC. MiamiOle MissUCFUtah and Virginia were other programs in the mix before his commitment to the Bulldogs. With the NCAA allowing multi-time transfers to play immediately next season without securing a waiver, the running back was able to hit college football’s free agency this offseason.

Amos was the No. 2 available running back currently in the portal, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings, prior to his Mississippi State commitment. The third-team All-MAC selection filled a position of need for the Bulldogs and he now does the same for the Buffaloes.
