Diminutive playmaker with game-breaking potential. A threat to score anytime he gets the ball in space. Has a smaller build for a running back prospect, checking in at a shade over 5-foot-8, 155 pounds the off-season prior to his senior year. Personal Life

Dylan Edwards arrived at Colorado as part of the 2023 recruiting class. Edwards said a big reason why he picked Colorado was his longtime relationship with Deion Sanders. Coach Prime coached Edwards when he was playing youth football in the Dallas area for years. After decommitting from Notre Dame, Edwards became Coach Prime's first-ever commitment at CU. In high school, Edwards ranked as the No. 11 running back in the country and second-best prospect in Kansas, according to the On3 Industry Raking. During his high school career at Derby (Kansas) High School, Edwards rushed for 6,426 yards and 95 touchdowns. He averaged 10.3 yards per carry and also had 32 100-yard rushing games out of 36 career games played. Edwards also won state championships as a freshman and sophomore and finished runner-up as a junior. Edwards garnered national attention in his first game with the Buffs, racking up 135 yards and three receiving touchdowns in CU's victory over TCU.
