Hilarious Michael Jordan, Curtis Polk text exchange aired out by NASCAR during injunction hearing

Today, the NASCAR lawsuit went into another hearing. This time, texts between Michael Jordan and Curtis Polk were revealed. One exchange between the 23XI Racing co-owners ended up being quite humorous.
Michael Jordan is no stranger to gambling. He likes to wager money and likes going to the casino. That has been known for years. But you don’t always see MJ acknowledge that publicly.
In the text exchange between Jordan and Polk, the two seem to be discussing a driver. When the topic of money came up, Jordan pointed out that money isn’t really a problem for the GOAT.
“Totally understand. I will do it at [redacted] million. See if Toyota will support us if decide to keep him for 2025 or we are able to get a charter,” Jordan texted Polk back in August of 2023, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.
This would also be more than a year before 23XI would get a third charter. So, who knows we don’t know who they are discussing.
“No way. We would be burning [redacted] million. … Invest in what we have and make it better,” Polk replied.
“I have lost that in a casino. Lets [sic] do it,” Jordan replied.
Whoever or whatever this is about, Michael Jordan was willing to burn millions to do it. It does make you wonder why Corey Heim, who has sponsorship issues when it comes to Cup racing, hasn’t been promoted. If MJ is willing to spend, he could fund Heim.

Most everyone in the industry agrees Heim is ready for Sundays now. Instead, Riley Herbst is in the 35 with, allegedly, a big check.
While this was a funny exchange, there were less humorous moments, too. In fact, Judge Kenneth Bell had to warn both sides about “sparring” in his courtroom again. It was a heated hearing between two parties that clearly have no interest in being kind to each other.
So, the NASCAR lawsuit continues. With today’s hearing, the tone of the case has shifted for sure. There were messages revealed from NASCAR and 23XI-FRM that rubbed the other side the wrong way.
Judge Bell continues to push for a settlement. He wants the two sides to settle on the requested injunction. Judge Bell doesn’t believe his ruling will be completely satisfactory to both sides. That possibility, today more than before, seems slim at best.
NASCAR does not want to do business with 23XI Racing and Front Row. Jim France is not a popular man among the people at 23XI and FRM, either. Denny Hamlin had messages revealed as well. Today’s hearing was not a positive for anyone who wants to see this case avoid trial.
