Dan Lanning and his staff at Oregon are trending for the commitment of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Preparatory 2025 four-star wide receiver Cooper Perry, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The Ducks lead with a 55.5% chance to land Perry after a favorable expert prediction was logged with a 70% confidence level by Oregon insider Justin Hopkins.

Perry is the nation’s No. 249 overall prospect and No. 32 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Arizona.

Perry participated at Battle Miami this weekend — one of the biggest 7-on-7 tournaments of the season. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons had this to say about the buzz surrounding his recruitment:

“There is still some moving pieces here with all of the coaching changes, but Oklahoma, Oregon and Notre Dame are three schools in the mix for Cooper Perry,” Simmons wrote. “He will visit Oklahoma for the first time next weekend. Washington is still in play with the new staff. Arizona State, an in-state school, is in the mix as well. Perry is not close to a decision, but the first trip to Norman is something to watch.”

Simmons also spoke to Perry earlier this month, and he praised wide receiver production in Eugene.

“Coach Junior Adams produces a lot of great wide receivers,” Perry said. “Watching Tez Johnson and Troy Franklin this year and seeing them and how they fit in the offense is definitely eye-opening. It was great to watch them in person.”

Perry also told Simmons that he has a good idea of what he will be looking for in a school in order to make his decision.

“I am looking for everything that checks the boxes,” Perry said. “Having great relationships with the coaches and the players, being able to come in and compete as a freshman and academics are important. I just want a school that feels like home.”

Perry also broke down his in-state schools along with Notre Dame and Washington.

Arizona and Arizona State: “I love Arizona State. I love U of A as well. I’ve been to Arizona State a lot. I like the constant love that they show me and them making me feel like a priority is awesome. I love the guys at both of those schools.”

Notre Dame: “The faith-based education is big. Coming from a school like mine, it’s similar in many ways. It’s a great program. It’s definitely eye-opening… (Mike Brown) actually offered me at Wisconsin, so I’ve known him since before he got the position at Notre Dame. Staying in touch with him and keeping it together is great. I’m excited to meet him in person.”

Washington: “Watching Rome OdunzeJalen McMillan and guys like them on their team going crazy in the College Football Playoff was really fun to watch. I think I can definitely make an impact in that offense and I just want to see it for myself.”
