Sherrone Moore provides positive injury update on running back Jordan Marshall

While Michigan received a close call in the form of an upset scare, the Wolverines’ 24-22 win over Northwestern on Saturday appeared that it could’ve come at a cost.

It appears that U-M avoided disaster twice, as running back Jordan Marshall departed the game in the late stages of the fourth quarter with an apparent shoulder injury and did not return, sparking long-term concerns for his availability with two games remaining in the regular season.
However, it appears that the Wolverines’ injury luck has turned around as head coach Sherrone Moore gave a positive update on Marshall’s status after the game.
When asked if Marshall’s injury was feared to be serious, Moore directly answered with a firm no and expanded on his reasoning.
“He just got X-rays and feels like he’s in a good place, and he’s going to get a nice ice bath,” Moore told reporters after the game. “Make sure he gets the best masseuse in town. They could take care of them. I can’t pay for that, obviously, I’ll let him handle that. They got plenty (of NIL money) to handle that. But take care of him and get him ready for these games that we’ve got coming up.”
The potential of losing Marshall for an extended period of time could’ve been devastating for the Wolverines, as the program is already missing Justice Haynes for an unknown period of time with a foot injury.
U-M was able to close the game out with former walk-on Bryson Kuzdzal leading the charge as he finished the game with 54 yards on 15 carries. Marshall was continuing to have another strong game, as he had 145 yards and 2 touchdowns before he departed with an injury.
U-M returns to the field next Saturday as the program will travel to Maryland to take on the Terrapins on Nov. 22.
