Great movie, and not too far from how things were once.

True story- my house (which will remain unnamed to protect the guilty) had one phone (this was a long time before cell phones) and pledges were responsible for answering it. One day a call came in for Mike. We had three Mikes, so the pledge asked "which Mike?" and got the answer-"the one who sells pot" to which the answer was of course "which one?"

I have watched this movie at least 100 times, sometimes in piece and sometimes all the way through. One of my funniest observations is when Delta is in front of the student review board, they have all the members of Delta's names on the board with their corresponding targeted year of graduation. On that list is "John Blutarsky '60, '61',62, '63"

I love it when Blutarsky looks at Kroger and gives him an approval for being at the head of the Delta class with a 1.2 gpa!

I'm into all comedies, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and Airplane were spoofs of the same genre, but Animal House
stands alone.

That clip reminded me to ask this board about the PSU fraternity that required their brotherhood to copy and retain every exam they ever took. I don’t remember the Frat 🤷🏼‍♂️

Allegedly, there were lockers full of mid-terms and Finals stashed in metal cabinets in the attic of the Frat house

It was sufficiently well known amongst the faculty teaching in my major that a few of my profs would exclaim before Finals….. “I hope you study hard and are properly prepared, even those from __”

I never knew about the attic vault of prior exams until one of my profs later admitted to purposely altering their previous exam answers in order to trip certain classmates into incorrect responses. 😎

Was in high school when it came out. I had some buddies who were not planning to go to college change their mind after seeing it. Truly a life-changing movie.

Some great reading on the making and filming of the movie online. Kevin Bacon wanted to be cast in the frat house instead they cast him as a straight laced fraternity brother
