ASU was considered the front runner for Rattler if Daniels were to have declared for the draft. Many ASU fans were itching for him to hurry and declare so they could get Rattler. But he instead decided to return and Rattler picked us. Now, Daniels has decided to enter the portal.

I wasn’t aware of that but makes sense. They need to set up some boundaries for this transfer stuff. Here you have a team that was fully counting on this kid coming back and he leaves them hanging, after NSD is past and the portal is picked over. Yeah, the coordinator left, but that’s life. In the pros, players don’t get to take their ball and quit just bc a coach leaves. For the most part not high school either. Just have to roll with it.

They got problems. Investigation and 5 coaches fired/suspended since 1/1/22. '21 was a rough year.
Doubt this was ever a consideration for Spencer.

Change will come sooner than later on this portal stuff. At least coaches have contracts and buyouts and what not. Right now it’s the wild Wild West for these kids to just jump around whenever the wind blows right.

There has to be some regulation somewhere - sometime. NIL is sacrosanct, but how the deals go down needs some attention.
