I almost feel like I am watching a golf tournament, good place to visit. Who has the biggest ears Tuberville? Or Finebaum?

Yes, man no fans at these lower bowl games. San Diego Stat has a good team.

Let's face it. Who wants to go see a lower tier bowl game when you have the beaches in those two places.

It didn't like the OU-Hawaii BB game was a record breaker last night...

Boy, that BB game was close, hope we beat Harvard tomorrow. I will be full as a tick, and wearing sweats after family leaves.

For bonus points, what year was it when the Sooners played in Hawaii at the end of an unusual (7-5 type) season and the team chose to call that their 'bowl' and declined to go to a fourth tier game ? (at least that's how I recall it; not saying it went down exactly that way)...

ia - I don't remember the year, but it was late 80's/early 90's. Back then, twelfth games were allowed if they weren't played on the continental US.

I know it was during the Switzer years. The team voted down a punk bowl and back then were not tied by conference mandate or some such.

The Sooners turned down at least two bowl bids, choosing not to play in a bowl game for the first time since the probationary years, 1973-74.

Scott Case, senior free safety from Edmond, established a school record with eight interceptions. The final interception came on the final play of the season a "Hail Mary" pass by Hawaii (1983)

Well, since we're talking Hawaii, which island is the best? I vote Maui...Big Island was nice.

I still remember that hit Scott put on ... senile moment ... Tony Dorsett, who went on to play for the Cowboys. Knocked him loopy. Maybe best hit in Sooner history.

"Don't be bringing that chit up on in here Tony" ! I remember that play like it was yesterday. We were bad to the bone.

These days that Scott would have probably been ejected for targeting...
