Most of highest paid players flop and never step one foot on an NFL field. With NIL Cfb has been exposed as the farm it is and always was. 😉

So what was his reasoning for why he flipped to Texas?
I suspect it's because he wanted to be the big dog at tackle on campus s and after Williams committed, he knew he wouldn't be. And then Texas took the money they were saving for Williams and gave most of it to him. They have a LOT of money to pass around. UT's pockets are deeper than just about anybody's.

Sadly the 4-5 star players bid themselves out. The deeper pockets will win. Its no longer about who these kids dream about playing for. The benjamins are the influences now.

Welcome to free agency with no salary cap guys. It will be interesting to see how this affects CFB. Much like the Cowboys of the 90's, no one outside of Dallas fans could let it go that Jerry could only win by buying top talent.

Dallas needs a better qb with legs and a cannon arm to get the ball to CeeDee and others consistently. Dak isn’t the guy, imo

We just need a guy with courage and the ability to quickly read a GOOD defense. He lights up the lighter lights in the NFL. But good defenses, with talent and complication, he's a turnover machine. If Jerrah, who's done it before, signs Dak to a long term top quarterback, contract, the Cowboys are doomed for a decade.

It's not about season won-loss record. It's nice, and can give you a playoff advantage. But the second year, Mr Irrelavent qb in SF, is a far superior quarterback on game day. Now he does have a far superior supporting cast. And the difference will be larger next season. But regular season doesn't matter with Dak. His playoff time performance is consistently dreadful. And at 31 before the season starts, that's not going to get better. He can hit most open receivers. But college open, not NFL open. Not against a quality defense.

The Dallas media is beating Jerrah up for not already signing him. Since JJ ran Jimmy Joshson off, this is the only smart thing JJ has done. If he signs Dak, he'll be dead before the Cowboys win a conference championship game.

I think less per year, but over $200Million total. Imagine what he'd want if he actually won a divisional round playoff game.
