This is a fun article. It is in the current issue of ESPN The Magazine, with Baker Mayfield on the cover.

Some of my favorites are:

Prediction: The Big 12 is a bunch of dummies for not throwing together a title game.
How it turned out: Boomer Sooner y'all.

Prediction: Texas is back, baby!
How it turned out: As in back-to-back seven-loss seasons.

Prediction: Baylor at TCU will be the de facto Big 12 title game.
How it turned out: Boomer Sooner y'all.

Hard to give ESPN, the foremost promoter of the SEC, any credit for anything. They seem to promote screwing the Big XII in just about any sport. It's one of the top reasons for OU to win the next two and shut them they hell up.

I appreciate your sentiment. Apologies are almost always a good thing. But ESPN is hard to forgive.

Much happened in the last couple of weeks that made the selection committee's job easier. Stanford/ND, Mich St/OSU, OU's run the last three weeks. The Big XII dodged a bullet this year.

Yep, I can't help but believe that had Notre Dame beat Stanford, OU might well be playing in the Sugar at best, regardless of our 'November to remember'.

I think it would've been more dicey, but I think we'd still be right where we are. It worked out just like it was supposed to though.

Hey do the same to the ACC.
We OWNED the sec last year on the field, and had more players taken in the first round of the NFL draft.
You'd never know it to listen to ESPN, tho...

Here's hoping ESECPN gets to eat a healthy plate of B12 crow over the next few weeks. I'll enjoy watching Herbstreit rub a few noses in it as well. ;)
