I'm an Army vet, but without bias, think Army has the better uniforms over the years...Navy has a bit of a disadvantage though since they don't have unit patches which translate well to football uniforms. Now, let's do XVIII Airborne Corps.....

Whoever has served, thank you. Whoever is going, enjoy. Whoever is playing, you represent the best of us all and we will enjoy cheering you on during this game and the missions that await you later. I am honored and privileged to have the freedom to watch this game and don’t take the sacrifices lightly that you will be called upon to preserve that freedom.

Go Army, Beat Navy!
Go Navy, Beat Army.

After years and years of having this game on my bucket list, I am headed to this game with a dear friend who's son is a senior on Navy Rugby team. Can't wait...
I’m so happy you’re able to go. I went with a good friend and family in 2016. my good friend had a daughter at West Point. It was beyond amazing. Get there early to see the March On of cadets. I’ve always loved this game. My Dad was a proud Navy Veteran who served in Korea.

These are always fun. Haven’t see Army’s yet.

The image on the right side of the helmet is Bruce McCandless, the first astronaut to make an untethered spacewalk. He was a classmate of my father's in USNA's Class of 1958.

I never met McCandless but I did know John McCain, another '58er.

No doubt the image of the moon on the left side of the helmet is a nod to the USNA graduates who walked on it (Alan Shepard, Apollo 14), drove a go-kart on it (James Irwin, Apollo 15 and Charles Duke, Apollo 16) and were almost killed trying to get to it (Jim Lovell, Apollo 13).

I wouldn’t even paint my cj5 that poop green camo color

That Navy claims NASA is the joke. The Army has a robust history with NASA too - Navy is reaching and like always, comes up short. That poop green would serve you well in battle. Hand painted MTV astronaut helmets? Not so much. ;)

I can’t wait for the new Air Force - Space Force rivalry
I feel bad for Air Force. They pretty much get ignored all year and the focus is always on Army- Navy each December. Air Force is 9-3 this year and beat both Army and Navy.

Navy has produced two and half times as many astronauts as Army (54 to 21) and USAFA has almost twice as many (41). USMA is more in Purdue's league (15) than USNA's. 3 Annapolis grads have walked on the moon to 1 West Pointer.

Navy is way out in front on multiple counts.

And I hate to tell you this (really, not trying to be a troll here) but the original MTV flag astronaut is the only West Pointer to walk on the moon (it's Aldrin). The Navy helmet guy is a Navy guy.

Still - it’s a reach. It’s not unsurprising given the aviation advantage Navy has over Army, but designing a whole uniform around NASA is pretty weak. Navy just doesn’t have a lot to draw from when it comes to uniform inspiration. They blew their wad with the Blue Angels. Neat fact about the MTV astronaut though.

Never!!! Next the Navy will have Tang inspired uniforms….;)

I’m the son of a career Marine; love the Navy. But how about a SEAL uniform?!
Meh. As this pic demonstrates, they are well trained and have some cool toys, but not much in the way of interesting uniforms.
