I hate all hype. Every last bit of it. I stopped listening to it.
I want the coaches and players to accomplish their goals, one game at a time, then let box scores tell the story.

BTW - I honestly believe that the hype has gone to the heads of many Baylor players. They have swagger - - true. But they also have cockiness. Trying to high-five the officials after TD's. That crap makes athletes over-confident and lazy. I've seen it a thousand times. I believe that some Big XII team will knock them off their pedestal.

Baylor's defense is garbage. Assuming they play the Pokes and/or West Virginia before us, they'll have a loss or two.

Baylor doesn't need a stout defense when they are rolling up and down the field on people. Whether their defense is garbage or not, you will still need to get ready for a shootout.

Billy,

A team that isn't afraid to jam their receiver and blitz their QB will get enough stops or create turnovers to give themselves a shot to outscore them.

WVU, oSu, TCU and our boys are all capable of doing it. Play scared like we did last year and you might as well bend over hand them the KY.

See this is what I have always thought defenses should be doing to Baylor. Press coverage and jam receivers to knock their timing off, which in turn will give more time for pressure to get to the QB. But I'm just a casual fan, so there has to be a reason why DCs aren't doing it more. I know it opens up the chances of getting burned deep, but at least it makes QBs more reliant on lower percentage throws while being pressured and his timing with the WR has been disrupted. I would prefer chances with that, rather than just sitting back and letting Baylor nickle and dime you all the way down the field with short, high percentage passes.
