How bad does UWV beat the whornz?

They can't win road games. No way a well coached team loses to ISU. Their offense is patchwork and that is why they lost. Defense played well enough to win until late, but offense is relying on pro-style coaches to call a spread option offense. Should have fired Watson and brought in all spread guys last winter and spring. UT would hav ebeen 8-4 this year, instead they will grovel for 8-4 next year and be a year behind on offense, since UT can't pursue JUCOs like other Big 12 schools. UT needs a JUCO legit dual threat QB, move Swoopes to TE for his senior year, just like Belldozer at OU and push the QBs to compete for starting rolls in a spread it to run system like OSU, Oregon, Clemson and Auburn. Stidham came in at 190, but is now 210, white Heard is just 195 and should be at least 210 running this physical offense. UT needs some JUCO help for next year, a QB and a pass rusher.

I don't think WVU will beat the horns badly. Maybe by a TD at the most. Something like 31-24.

You know that UT has scored 3, 7 and ZERO in three road games and have not shown any sign of life? This is an out of state game and out of region also. Why is this going to be a close game? As soon as WV stops the run, they are gonna put in 18 and start throwing high speed incomplete passes.

No disrespect rk, but all I can think about right now is OU vs Baylor game. It'll be hard for me to understand how the Sooners lose this one with Baylor playing a freshman QB.

Good luck with your Horn game vs M'Eers.

Pure genius.
Dear Bob Stoops,
1. Pressure him
2.) Drop 8
3.) Stop the Run
4.) Be very physical
No more problems with Baylor (or any other team in the country)!

Ya that should be no problem all we have to do is pressure the QB and stop the run with 3. I mean since we need to drop 8 then our 3 DLmen better play out their mind.

Not that this needs to be clarified, but 'Dropping 8' is a sure way to get OU beat. We make our living on blitzes and keeping teams behind schedule. Telling Striker to play zone coverage in the slot the whole game is like cutting his balls off.

Also, no three man front can pressure the QB playing three step drop or shotgun. Even if BU's Oline sucked, which they certainly DO NOT, physics would keep the ball out of the QB's hand before the initial push is over. Coverage sacks or delayed blitzes from the secondary have a chance, but only when additional men are sent and the QB has already checked off potential throws.

That's not BU's game anyway, which is mostly timed routes thrown to receivers called in the huddle. Quick plays. There again, a 3 man rush is idiotic.

If you want to beat Baylor, you blitz from any direction at any time. Keep that freshman QB nervous and thinking about where the pressure is coming, not on running his offense.
