This guy on the linked YouTube video sums up my feelings about the KSU game.

Their #1 Big 12 D (18th nationally) will probably use a similar game plan that the horns used against our weak O-line to stuff the run and blitz Baker. I also expect them to run the ball, like texass, about 55 times and throw about 15 passes. Hate to be a Negative Nellie, but I see a loss coming. 31-27 Wildcats.

Looking back at last week's game, we're not as good as we thought and texass might be better than we realized. I can't help but feel this is going to be a rewind of the 2014 season.

Tell me why I'm wrong about the KSU game....

Well, all good points indeed...however, as DFW pointed out in another thread, OU/Stoops has never lost a game following a loss to the horns.

Although that precedent can always be rent asunder, right now I'm clinging to it like grim death.
Granted, we have little else to hold on to.
I get that.

Schoonerman, being the movie buff you are, you may appreciate that this scene was one of my favorites. I could put myself in this guy's shoes. Pretty scary feeling.

I too have a bad feeling about Saturday's game because I'm just not certain how OU's players will respond after last week's poor performance. It's always that way after a really bad loss, but Bob has a history of bringing his squad back after losses and avoiding back to back losses. I think this game is has become a much bigger game because of last week's outcome. If OU doesn't show a lot more Saturday, even in a loss, I would look for one of Bob's poorest seasons.

I'm not trying to say 'I told You so', but I DID tell ME, so, Pre-Season. I thought we'd be in rebuilding mode and it would take our new OC, QB and others time, probably this season, to get it together. Then, I bought into the Media Hype, and the fortunate Win over Tennessee, who were not as good as we thought, either. Baker was a pleasant surprise, and we managed to build on our early Wins, until texass, who, as you wisely pointed out, Schoonerman, may have been better than we thought they were.

Expectations can be the Enemy, more times than not...Whether it be in Relationships, the Stock Market, Team Performances, or the Weather, Expectations can set us up for Disappointments...

I say that, to say this...What do WE know? *We're not as good as we thought sums up our season, to date, IMO...Do we have time to improve? Hopefully...Will we? Wait, Watch, and keep our fingers crossed, our mouths running, and our fingers typing...

Excellent. I have always had the same opinion. This isn't a surprise. IMO, we fans need to get ready to take what's coming, good or bad.

I've got a bad feeling about the rest of the season.

I think we will beat Kansas. And Iowa State.

I think the 8 tickets I bought for the Alamo Bowl, hoping OU would make it, are going to be used by someone else.

#1 D according to what? They are almost last in PY and total YPG they are 72nd. Their D is giving up almost 300 YPG passing. Their O is 91st. Stats don't tell the tale (see Texas) but they are not a dynamic offense. And their mobile QB is no Heard. Unless the village idiot AKA M Stoops rolls out another 2-4-5 defense they shouldn't present to big a challenge. I expect a big win for OUr boys.

Stoops has never suffered back to back bad seasons. 2014 was bad. I still believe the Horns to be pathetic. I believe Kstate will beat only Texas in the next 2 weeks.

Believe me we aren't thinking that way. 31-0 coming off a loss is not something that is making us feel good about this game. We are so injured that true freshman who weren't even on the depth chart are starting. Any more injuries and we may have to pick kids out of the crowd to fill out the roster. We do have Bill which means we will be competitive but I have a very high opinion of Bob and you do have more talent through the depth chart. The last two games have been really tough as a KSU fan to watch unfold. Fantastic effort by an undermanned team that sadly they did not reap any reward from. I just hope they have another effort like that in them. Either way enjoy your trip to the Little Apple. Great place to watch a game without a really bad seat in the house.

Me too Schoonerman. I have a bad feeling about every game we play nowadays. I used to have a great feeling about every game we played even those that we were an underdog in. My confidence is an exact 180 from where it used to be in the "no excuse" Stoops era. It is a different era these days.

I think we win this game but I think every game we play will be a dog fight the rest of the season.

We couldn't beat that hapless horn squad. I personally, am not expecting a win Saturday. Bob has had a lot of 1st's lately, losing the game after the horn loss may very well be another and this is the likely season for it to happen.

I had OU w/ 3 losses and K-Stare was one of them, but Texas wasn't. ... eek!

Not sure what to think about this KSU game. I will say I felt by far more confident last year going into the KSU game. And that's not a very comforting thought....:(

I hope I'm wrong but I've been counting this as a loss all week. OU isn't as good as I had hoped and Kansas State is due after back to back heart breakers to OSU and TCU. Just a bad feeling.

KSU has had two really tough losses the last couple of weeks. If OU can come out and score quickly, and then hold the Wildcats the first three or four series, the Sooners are likely to cruise to another win. If, however, Kansas State scores and holds OU like other teams have done the first half, OU will probably be in for a fight throughout the game. KSU has to be feeling like the odds are stacked against them with all the injuries they've had. Hopefully, the Sooners don't give them any hope early. Bill Snyder knows that this is a big game for his team. Could be very dangerous for Oklahoma.

Well, by the same token, WE could be dangerous for the formerly mild Cats.

We've been to a few rodeos too...

ha, that goes without saying, my friend. The odds should be in our favor based on history. It depends to a large degree on the state of mind of the Wildcats after losing two close games, IMO.
