I think some owe Josh Heupel an apology

He did what he could with Knight. Knight will be one of my favorite Sooners, but his accuracy has taken a few steps back. I'm sure part of his passing was do to lack of snaps during the week.

So the pass into the end zone that was dropped was Knights fault. Really?

Oh man, this is ignorant.

Trevor Knight doesn't fit this offense. Baker does...
It doesn't make Trevor a dumb *** idiot.

Any questions?

What offense does Knight fit into? He was benched two years ago in favor of Bell. Last year he was just as inconsistent, but we didn't have anybody better. Knight is a great kid, just not a real good quarterback.

Question !. Then why put him in the game?

Question 2. Why leave him in the game?

The kid came in and dealt with the same pressure the Baker did. He clearly made some bad decisions, but also would have looked better with some help. And Fitty, a droped pass in the end zone does not make me an idiot, it just makes it a droped pass.

I suppose that's because Cody Thomas would have hockeyed it up more...

Can you possibly think of a more viable reason...really?

What do you got?

I don't disagree. If you play him, use his strength and it's not passing. He had at least three plays where he should have kept it tonight on the option. It reminded me of last year where we didn't want to get him hurt.........

Simple, You have a QB that looks horrible, then go to the next option. I'm not sure there are many middle of the road HS QB, that could have looked worse.
He is not any good
He does not fit our offense
He cannot throw the ball
He cannot check off of a receiver
He cannot run the option read
He cannot check the RB, when the B gap is covered and he has the B gap

I can keep going. He is flat out, a very mediocre QB and that might be giving him to much credit

I find it hard to believe Cody could have played and worse. I think we have some Olineman that could have played QB better then, Knight.

Well, that's an average comeback...very mediocre.

Quite frankly, TCU put pressure on all night. Baker struggled with it as did Trever. Not a significant difference from what Texas did. IMHO, the OC needs to come up with a counter that makes the defense pay for their aggressiveness.

Yes, I think we should all kiss the *** of all our lucky stars that we won at all.

This may be all the glory we can glean from this season.

Anything more is just a damn miracle, as I see it.

Agree we should feel fortunate for the win. We'll be back next week, though, to take it to to the Pokes.

Mayfield wasn't the same QB after the hit he took to the head. I'm confident that without that injury, OU would have cruised with Baker playing the entire game. The defense was on the field the entire second half. I'm a bit surprised that Baker played at all after the helmet to helmet. I hope he is ready for OSU. If not surely Cody will get a long look this week.

Grateful for the two seaons that Josh Heupel played QB for OU but he did not do well as OU's OC. He left us bare at both QB and at WR. OU extremely fortunate that Baker Mayfield walked in off the street. Otherwise 2015 would have been John Blake like disastrous.

Knight was a RUNNER in HS and it was Heupel's fault he was recruited.
