worst movie ever? 100%, wasted 12$ luckily I snuck in my own beer. My 2 bathroom breaks were the highlight of the film, including young hs kids in UL baseball jerseys(didn't know bathroom mirror selfies were still a thing) and the guy I almost ran in to turning a corner. Fun times

Was planning on seeing this soon since the initial reviews were good. Any non-spoiler rundown on why it was so bad?

Question, did you watch trailers on the movie before you saw it in theatres?

Googled around, I love this articles top quote:

Based on the movie’s trailers, you might have thought you were getting a highbrow take on a cabin-in-the-woods movie, with an unknown terror waiting to jump out at any moment. What you got instead was a dark, deliberate rumination on what it means to be human in a violent, unstructured world.

Um, no. If you had even half a brain you knew this movie was more than some creature in the night and that the two families(?) begin to distrust each other and how fear takes hold, makes people do rash and crazy things, etc etc etc.

I'm not even one of those "I knew the ending 5 minutes in" types.. far from it. But it's not hard to tell this movie was deeper than a monster-flick in the woods. Who thought otherwise??

I have seen it. I was told not to watch the trailers by a buddy of mine who does movie reviews for a couple different outlets. That's why I asked the OP my question

Unfortunately, as a horror movie fan.. I watch every trailer. When you go through the 90's and 2000's, which were generally dogshit decades for horror movies.. you tend to scrounge for any and every horror trailer that might turn out to be half way decent.

You could give me $10 if I didn't watch the trailer.. and maybe I could hold out for a day..

I'm right there with you. Usually he's like "have you seen the trailer for "x" yet" or " watch the trailer for this". This time he told specifically not to. So I didn't

I personally could watch trailers all day

Great cinematography, actors did a decent job, but they developed 0 plot throughout 90 minutes. Also it wasn't scary or a thriller just a ****** story.

yes saw 1 trailer which leads you to believe the movie will be good.

Can't beat Titanic for title of Worst Movie Ever.

Man at least titanic was about a boat sinking. This movie has 0 plot/ purpose. I also hate titanic though it is a horrible movie
Ruined a perfectly good story by putting romance in it. If that wasn't bad enough, the star had to be Gilbert Grape's brother. Terrible movie. Titanic did have that red head, though. You may have a point.

I did. I enjoyed but I had no expectations on what the "it that comes at night" was. I can totally se you giving it a 3. I think that's fair

There is a really good movie critic named Chris Stuckmann. He has a YouTube channel. I like his insight. He did a video on how this movie was marketed all wrong. Especially the trailers

He wasn't good when titanic came out. Granted, he has improved with maturity. Always thought he was in character when he did Gilbert's brother.

The disaster artist is coming out about the worst movie ever made called. It has JAmes Franco in it. For a full review with scenes from this movie, go to YouTube type in the room and find I hate everything the room review. You will laugh your *** off. I can't link it as the language is awful but it's great.
