She enjoyed it as did I after not seeing it for a long time. It is one of those movies that stands the test of time. I remember seeing it in the theater when i was about her age. The funny thing about it is that there was not 1 but 2 kid actors that would later appear in Playboy. From a kid's flick to a porn mag.

Of course I didn't mention that fact to her. [laughing]

I was that age when it came it also. And funny you should mention it on oscar weekend. That was the first time was ever aware of the Oscars and it blew my mind that ET wasn't winning every award possible. Gandhi? I never even heard of that movie. How could it possibly win best picture? Adults were so stupid and boring.

My kids have watched E.T. several times over the years and all really seemed to like it. I didn't get to see it in the theaters during its original run, but I did go see it in 2002 for the 20 year anniversary re-release. I didn't see it until it was first on TV in the mid 1980's.

ET didn't premiere on TV until 1991. You're such a liar.

Have you introduced her to The Wizard of Oz yet? That and E.T. were my two favorites back in the day. I introduced my gf's daughter to The Wizard of Oz when she was 5 and she watched it non-stop for two days. lol

Didn't realize the girl in the bottom pic was in E.T. Been a looong time since I've seen it.
