For touchdowns and took the Steelers from down seven to up five with 4:26 left. Both two point conversions were unsuccessful. But he completed five in a row, including one on a third down scramble and one into very tight coverage for the second touchdown.

He looks like an NFL quarterback today.

Landry in everybody's favorite play: Taking a knee on the Packer ten YL.

He looked horrible in week one. Today, he might have turned the corner. He looked really solid after an early pick.

Bad news for the Pack: ACL tear likely for Jordy Nelson.

That's good. I think this is the last year of his contract right? He needs to get some quality playing time to prove to the Steelers to keep him on, or if they don't renew his contract his performance will get another team to sign him. Would be nice to see him stick it out in the NFL for a while, even if it's as a backup. A backup doesn't make the best money, but it's a good living for not taking a beating every week like the starter. ;)

Well, good for Landry, I hope he can stay and at least contribute as a backup.

Besides, Whitney, being a woman needs her bling bling!:D

I've watched all three games with Landry as QB for the Steelers.. His numbers if you look at the sport page's statistics don't look great. Today's game was indicative of his numbers, 10 for 19 throwing or 53%. I say his numbers are indicative because there were five clear dropped passes. The previous game four dropped passes and two throw aways. He grades out better than his numbers indicate and he will hang around Pittsburgh and will be on the 53 man roster, IMO. He won today's game, and should have won last weeks game by throwing a TD pass with 3 minutes left in game but Pitt's defense (secondary) could not hold the lead.

All NFL contracts are year to year, with the only guaranteed money being the up front signing bonus. But his deal was for four years. This is the third. He's scheduled to make a little under $600K this year and over that next year. It appears right now that he has a decent chance to be the backup. The returning number two guy isn't healthy, but trying to play a little. It's why Landry is getting some reps.

I pull for him a lot. But if he ever had to play with Ben R hurt, I think Landry would have a really hard time against a pro defense game planning for his strengths and weaknesses. We'll see.
