Low point...How bad does kentucky beat us?

I would think at least. They are better than us at just about every position. I'm hopeful, but the team and coaching staff have not shown anything so far this season to inspire any confidence.
Have we beaten an SEC team on the road under Beamer? This is a bad matchup. On the road. At night. Against a team and coach that is deep in our heads.
It would be a monumental win if we can pull if off. It'll be very deflating if we lose.

The coaching staff seems to not make any adjustments during the game....maybe I just don't see it...who knows

We have no reason to be anything but mild.
Basically. I'm hopeful, of course. But, based on what the the team has shown up to this point, which is all we have to go on, I see no reason to think we can win.
UK has pretty much owned us for years now. Beamer knows he needs a game like this to keep the peace after the UGA debacle. He's also shown he isn't afraid of taking chances. I think there's a decent chance we catch them a little off-guard and play well in Lexington. Let's hope.
if you were realistic there would be far less noise.......what have you seen in usc football for the last century? if realistic there would be more sensible posts

UK was a top 10 team, we can't even Sniff the Top 25. Last several years Stoop has Owned us. But I guess because you are buddies with the moderators and they Allow you to Post Your political BS without criticism you are bold enough to Criticize Posters Who Want to tell it like it is.

I think 10 wins are still in order and we should be a top 15 team.
Honesty can be hard on fans who can't handle reality.
OK. A positive note. We are getting game time for some talented freshman who have promise to make things better. Also we have a group of committed high school prospects who appear to be a talent upgrade. Even with this promise, it's a slow climb out of the bottom tier of the SEC cause the top tier gets better players. Right now we are struggling to get to the middle tier, imo.
Kentucky is dead last in the SEC in rushing offense. Will it matter against our defense? We haven't shown an ability to stop the run. Their pass offense is pretty good.
The big thing with them is (aside from this past weekend) they don't make a ton of mistakes normally. Whereas a 5 yd false start can totally kill a drive for us. Not to mention the penalties we routinely commit on defense. They normally make you beat them. I think we make too many mistakes and lose. Don't know by how much.

That means one of their backs will go Darren McFadden on us.
Their best RB was out early in the season. He is back, so I expect them to have a better run game than we have seen so far.
Yeah they do. They have 8 turnovers this year so far. Unfortunately, we have had more. 13. That's a big numbers to overcome. They are -3 in turnover margin, we are -6. They had 3 in our game alone last year.
But you are right. We need another game like last year to keep it close. Our defense needs to force some turnovers and our offense needs to protect the ball. Otherwise, we will struggle to win or even keep it close.
We need to bring the heat on defense. Levis will make mistakes if pressured. Rush 3 or 4 all night, and he will pick us apart. And their oline doesn't look all that impressive. We have the talent to make him uncomfortable.
We are a women's basketball school. The coach of the women's team runs the athletic department. We should be thankful she is letting us play football games and hasn't decided to cancel the rest of the season. All of this talk about football is wasting time until women's basketball season starts.

I've just been around too long to know that anytime we go into a game thinking "Our opponent is not good at ___________" it just means they'll excel at that in our game.

I think the return of their top RB will be more of a factor then that curse. Or maybe it will just be the fulfillment of it.

Because they are still beatable, unlike us playing UGA. And we NEED to beat UK. It will be very deflating to have our streak of futility against them continue for another year. We are 1-7 in our last 8 against UK, the same record we have over the last 8 games against Clemson. That's deflating.
