Is there any reason why Mark can't split out and take some reps that some of the other tall receivers are getting? I just watched the Big 12 Huddle replay of the game and saw Dahu Green drop a sure touchdown. I know we need to give some of the young, tall receivers some reps, but I really think Mark makes that catch. I really love what we are doing on offense, except using Andrews more than in the red zone. Let him get some reps in the slot..............

Maybe we are saving him for Baylor.

I like how he's being used, but could stand to see him get a few more "targets" during the game, especially on third downs of 3-7 yards. Inside their 10, he's an incredibly effective weapon. So I don't mind keeping him in to block and let the WRs and RBs move us down the field, then spring him loose when OU is in the red zone, usually for a TD.

50% of the catches the guy makes are TDs. Part of that is knowing when to target him. He'll be a bigger weapon as time passes. Kind of like a 'gronk-lite' option for Mayfield.

I think it would be fine for Andrews to continue to be a get-out-of-jail-free card. Geeze, he has 5 TD's in his last 6 catches. That's somebody you have to use wisely, but not necessarily often.

Bob has used the TE but not enough in recent years. Maybe because he hasn't had the right guy, but I sure would like for OU to find and use another Trent Smith. Trent caught 29 passes his first year in the offense (2000) and averaged over 50 the next two years. From what has been written about Andrews and how he has looked so far this year, I would think he could be the guy. Isn't this offense close to the offense Bob brought to Norman and ran while Smith was playing?
