hmmm what did Irv say?? Was she under cover??

Well if it happened in the lobby should be cameras to verify no inappropriate touching. Will show how long they talked and if her face looked offended or awkward during the conversation. Short of anything weird being displayed its a he said/she said thing and he should be on the air, given his history I can see why they pulled him.

While I disliked Irv the player, I find him entertaining on the NFL Network. He sometimes takes a perspective or compliments someone or something that I didn’t expect him to, so I respect him for that. With that said, if he did something inappropriate, then they did what they had to do. We will see, I guess?

Has anyone read what this is actually about from another source that actually had details?

"....a woman complained about Irvin’s behavior during an encounter that occurred on Sunday evening in Arizona."

I'm not a huge Irvin fan and maybe over time more facts may come out. But he's in the penalty box because a woman "complained" about his behavior?? Is that all it takes nowadays?? Maybe it was like a drunk Namath talking to Kolber on the sideline. Would that be enough for Irvin to get the boot??

I hate Irving as much as the next eagles fan, but this is a joke….. how about we stop treating everyone as if they’re guilty until proven innocent?

ā€œMichael Irvin will not be a part of NFL Network’s Super Bowl LVII week coverage,ā€ NFL Media spokesperson Alex Riethmiller said in a statement to Gehlken.ā€ Before anything even remotely resembling an investigation???

For God’s sake, hard to be ā€œThe playmakerā€ if he isn’t a player.

Unless there is an audio tape, or a witness to the conversation, Irvin is in deep kimchee. In a later interview, he admitted that he couldn't remember what he said because he'd been drinking. So it becomes a case of "she said" because he can't recall what "he said."

If he was drunk and it was only 45 seconds, I don’t know how anyone would even be able to understand him enough to get offended. It’s not like he’s the clearest speaker when he’s sober.

Marriott must respond Michael Irvin’s request for surveillance video by Tuesday

A Marriott employee has accused Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin of misconduct. The accusation got Irvin pulled from a pair of TV jobs during Super Bowl week.
Irvin has responded with a $100 million lawsuit, and an aggressive effort to get any surveillance video that Marriott has in its possession that would demonstrate what actually happened between Irvin and his accuser. The federal judge that is now presiding over the case has given Marriott a firm deadline for responding Irvin’s request for the video.
Via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Marriott has until 5:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday to respond. That doesn’t mean the video must be produced by then; it only means that Marriott must submit an actual response. A word-salad of objections (something lawyers paid handsomely by the hour pride themselves on whipping up) likely will be the front-line reply.
Marriott previously objected to the request when the case was pending in state court, firing off the predictable and common assertion of the attorney-client privilege and work-product doctrine as justification. If Marriott does it again, Irvin’s lawyers will file a motion to compel the production of the materials, and the judge will have to make a decision.
It’s hard to imagine how or why the judge would allow Marriott to hide relevant evidence that goes directly to the question of whether Irvin engaged in any type of wrongdoing.
It feels like Marriott has something to hide, because this is exactly what something with something to hide would do.

That’s interesting. If you’re Marriott why would you not show the video?

How did this go from state court to Federal court in such a short time?

+1 about the video. I also "heard" that there was a phone camera video that disputes the Marriot and the employees claim along with some eye witnesses
Mike I. does have a history but this seems more than a little odd.
I'm surprised he (Mike) and his lawyers didn't include NFL Network in the suit.

There’s not enough time to go through all the terrible things Michael Irvin has done in his lifetime, he’s one of the worst people on the planet. Anything bad that happens to him from here on out is delicious karma.
