It's now 35-16 Boilermakers, who have 4th and 1 at the Nebraska 16. Remember, Purdue has lost to both Marshall and Bowling Green earlier this season.

Not sure if it's the quarterback Riker Fyfe or the receivers, but Nebraska's passing game is horrible. They've thrown at least four picks. The last one was at their 16.

4th and 1 touchdown pass. Purdue leads 42-16 with 2:34 left in the third.

Happy with the cash payout and happier they dont have to play OU and Texas and now TCU and Baylor.

What would be the difference anyway, a few million less and a still 4 loss seasons like they had the last few years in a row since they moved. I guess the cash wins out. But isnt it less embarrassing losing to OU than....Purdue

What did everyone expect, they hired Riley......a coach that has never won a dam thing. Worst hire of the century.

I was about to post something about how far Nebraska has fallen since leaving the Big 12 Plaino...

Will they ever be a dominant team again?

Huskers are missing their quarterback on offense and their leading tackler on defense. But dang. Before today, Purdue under Darrell Hazell was 5-26 in two and a half years and one conference win. If the Huskers don't have a miraculous comeback, they will have to beat Michigan State and Iowa at home and at Rutgers, just to be bowl eligible.

I don't know who was responsible for the Riley hire, but this is a new low in 58 years. They were 1-9 in 1957. They hired Bob Devaney in 1962. Since that hiring they have not been under .500. This loss is now confirmed. It's 49-38. They are 3-6 with 3-9 a real possibility.

As they say in Lincoln, "if you can't compete--retreat."

The Bugeaters took their Texas butthurt to the B1G and now are on the fast track to irrelevance. Given their geographical issues, I'm saying this now--they're never again going to be the powerhouse they once were. Call them a modern day Minnesota--nice history but a has been.

I have to agree, but I'm not happy about it. The OU - Nebraska rivaly was as good as and important to college football as OU- Texas, IMO. Maybe better because both schools played with class. I miss the annual games.

I respected Nebraska back in the Big 8 days and even when the conference went to 12. Since they've now run away with their tails tucked between their legs, I say screw 'em.

One good coaching hire, and who knows what could happen in Lincoln. The Huskers' legacy is way to strong to just melt away. It may take a while, but it will get there.

The fact is that Mizzou's propaganda about being one of the next members of the Big Ten goaded them into divulging their honest intentions, so it's not like they didn't want to be there all along.
