OT: Who lives in Colorado and is getting pounded by all this snow?

I'm toying with the idea of spending a month out there on an Epic pass, maybe staying in the Frisco area. I've been slow in planning though, probably is a nightmare finding a rental for a decent price at this point.
Living my dream. Maybe not in Vail, but I dream of seasonal ski town living.
Vail is too expensive, IMHO. Frisco, which you mentioned above, is pretty damn good, as you have easy access to Breck, Vail, and Beaver Creek, as well as a few other slopes, and it's within reason (price wise).
Where we live we don't here it. Go up Whiskey Hill just a little way and you do. Of course as you rise up the hill you start adding zeros to the price of the property. Way out of my socio-economic class.
First and foremost spend zero dollars on the mountain outside of the pass. You can also easily avoid the pass cost if you work part time for Vail. Teach and you get passes for your whole family. Been there, done that, not worth it.
Outside of housing the cost of living there isn't much higher than where I'm at in MD. Not to mention taxes are way lower.
Of course if you start going out you can run up some big bills especially at the good restaurants. I'm sure that's everywhere. Not just the Vail Valley.
Exactly... I have many friends who do just that. Buy a pass at multiple resorts and you can get easily to many great ski resorts rather than just 1.
Indeed... used my friends condo in downtown Aspen and went out for breakfast and spent almost $30 on 2 eggs and toast, let alone taking the whole family out and spending $150 for breakfast.
SLC is still my top preference, but the downside is traffic up/down the canyon roads is getting bad and making it less practical. Having 8 resorts within an hour drive including the world class terrain and snow quality/quantity at Alta/Bird while still being in an urban area and close to a major airport is unmatched anywhere else in the USA.
