Listened to college football talk show yesterday where they said over and over again that OU would never get in because conference championship plays the strongest role, and since BIG 12 has no championship game, they would be one game short of competing for playoffs??? If conference championship is so damn important how is Notre dame even in the discussion?

Media nerds are not the former HCs and ADs on board. OU would be only champion to play entire league, and beat basically 3 top 10 teams in a row, and two on the road that were both undefeated. Utah and Stanford do not carry the FOOTBALL weight with 7 MNC that OU does. No computers play a roll, just humans. My bad, forgot ND. Stanford needs to beat ND and lose in the PAC 12 somewhere.

Because they are Notre "fricking" Dame. Any year ND has a good team with a comparable record to other teams that are in the mix, Notre Dame will always get more consideration. It's been that way forever and isn't likely to change. It's BS, but reality.
